POPS delivers the Visitor Centre Services at HMP Buckley Hall providing a warm welcome and advice and support for all visitors on a range of issues, including travel, debt and housing. We visiting process and prison procedures.

DSC_0602also provide one to one support around the Visitors are able to join the Family Forum Group where they can express any concerns or contribute to any ideas to make the visitor experience more relaxed and friendly. Themed Family Days also take place throughout the year.

The Visitor Centre will open 45 Minutes before every visit.

*Please note that we have a Sunday morning Session, this is called a Parental Contact Visit. This session is restricted to invitation only. 

Financial Assistance with Visiting: 

If you qualify to receive help with your finances such as benefits, you may be able to recoup all or part of the cost of your travel expenses.

Safer Custody

If you have concerns about an individual in custody at HMP Buckley Hall please call the Safer Custody helpline on 01706 514304. This is a 24 hour line (answer machine). Callers should leave their name and contact number, the name and prison number of the person they have concerns about and the nature of the concern. The machine is checked every night and concerns responded to with a call back.

Concerns may also be brought to the attention of POPS’ staff for follow up.
