Today sees the launch of the 2015 Children of Prisoners Europe campaign ‘Not my Crime, Still my Sentence’. The new website will soon be launched at www.notmycrimestillmysentence.org. The campaign site will feature a “I pledge my support” button in the form of a petition. Please take a moment to support the petition by clicking through and signing up! The main campaign tool will be a beautiful animation which will be launched later in June.
During the month of June POPS are also helping to raise awareness by supporting children and young people to complete a series of postcards to send to our 13 British MEP’s highlighting the changes they as young people affected by parental imprisonment would like to see. We are joining with Children of Prisoners Europe (COPE) and Families Outside in Scotland in this endeavour to help children’s voices be heard and to challenge our MEP’s to become Child Rights Champions.
