POPS (Partners of Prisoners & Families Support Group) is a charity set up to support the loved ones of those in prison and on community sentence. The charity was founded by prisoners’ families in 1988, we currently provide family support services in 14 prisons across the North West and Yorkshire.
As Bid Manager, you will have primary responsible for writing and coordinating business development tendering activity, to pursue and secure commercial and grant funded contracts. You will generate income for the Charity, ensuring development opportunities are maximised, principally from Statutory (commissioned) funding, Trusts and Foundations. Initiating and developing a process to encourage philanthropic giving will also be required. You will be required to undertake research to support the agreed business development initiatives, working closely with POPS core team to enable delivery and growth of POPS’ service offer and achieve the aims of our income diversification strategy.
